About Real Estate Donations

WRCJ is the viewer-supported PBS member station serving Southeast Michigan. Our vision is for a community in which people trust public TV to help them discover new ideas, make informed decisions, and enjoy enriched lives.


As a 501 (C) (3) WRCJ partners with CARS (Charitable Adult Rides & Services) to process real estate donations to benefit WRCJ.

  • Through this philanthropic program, we can accept any property type (land, homes, commercial, etc.) in any location so long as there is equity.
  • Even if the property holder owes back taxes, has a mortgage balance, or deferred maintenance, there’s no barrier to facilitating the transaction – We will pay off all loans, liens, and commissions owed; the program is designed to cover all closing costs.

If you have a real estate asset that is costing you money or not being utilized, donating it is a great way to give back and you may even claim a significant tax deduction.
